Introducing the Teams

With less than a week until our departure for Scotland, excitement is building among the Tourists, our Scottish hosts and the friends & families of the Tourists. For the benefit of our Scottish hosts and for our friends & families, we would like to introduce the teams that will be representing the United States on the 2022 Scot Tour. As a reminder, the 2022 Scot Tour is a friendship tour through Scotland where the Tourists will be competing against our Scottish hosts for the coveted Herries-Maxwell Trophy.  The country that scores the most points over the 3-week tour will retain the Trophy until the Scots visit the United States in 4 years and we compete for the Trophy again.  That means winning games is not as important as scoring as many points as possible while simultaneously seeking to minimize your opponents points.  And for that reason the game strategies may be a little different than normal. Tour Mascots

So, everyone knows that COVID sucks.  It's been a rough few years for the entire planet and while we are happy to be through the worst of it (we think), COVID caused the delay of the 2022 Scot Tour for a full year.  In the last Summer of 2022, the Tourists made the painful decision to delay the tour for a full year because we wanted to experience the camaraderie of the Tour without restrictions like social distancing and face masks. While it was tough on all the Tourists to delay for a year (we will all be a year older and a year more decrepit when we arrive in Scotland), there are 3 Tourists that were impacted worse than the rest of us, as they were not able to join us on the tour.
