Day 17 - Ayr
The Tourists departed the Hampton Inn at 10:15 am for a 90-120 minute drive to Ayr.
We arrived early in Ayr and dropped off our bags at the hotel before heading to the Ayr Curling Club
The Tourists arrived at the Ayr Curling Club for some social time before the first game:

The Tourists gained 5 points in the afternoon.
The Tourists were served a wonderful evening snack before the second draw the snack consisted of Scotch Pies, Forfar Bridies, Sausage Rolls and Stovies.

For the afternoon, the Tourists were down 6 in the afternoon. That puts them down one on the day to lead by 92.

After the evening games, there was an informal dinner at the Ayr Curling Club.
Tomorrow, the Tourists have another game at Ayr followed by a tour of Kay’s of Scotland (where curling stones are made). In the evening the Tourists will be hosted for a “Burns Dinner” at the Ayr Curling Club. Robert Burns is Scotland’s National Poet and Ayr is his hometown. His birthday,the more traditional date for a Burns Dinner, is in 2 days but we have to have our Burns Dinner in Ayr, right?
